The Demilune is a compact half moon in a soft pebbled leather look finish, closed with a snap and crowned with a knotted handle. From the handle hangs a charm of hand strung wooden and ceramic beads, no two ever quite alike. It is the detail people notice second, after they have noticed you.
Three ways to carry it come in the box. Tuck it under the arm or take it in the hand on the knotted handle. Clip on the short strap for the shoulder. Clip on the long one and forget about it across the body. It is 23 centimetres wide and 13 high, which is a phone, cards, keys, a lipstick, and the quiet sense that you packed exactly enough.

Three carries in the box: in the hand or under the arm on the knotted handle, on the shoulder with the short strap, across the body with the long strap. Lined interior with a zip pocket, phone sleeve and card sleeve. Silver tone clips and zip.
Wipe the body with a soft, dry cloth. If it catches the rain, blot it and let it dry naturally, away from heat. Keep perfume and hand cream off the beads and the pebbled finish. Store it upright and lightly filled with tissue, with the charm resting on top of the bag rather than trapped beneath it.

The making
Each Demilune is cut from a soft pebbled cloth, shaped over a form and closed with a snap that was set by hand. The handle is knotted twice, the way it has always been done, and the charm is strung bead by bead from wood and ceramic, so no two are ever quite the same. It is checked, filled with tissue and boxed with its three straps by the same pair of hands. Small work, done slowly.
